How we handle your data

What the service stores about you, why, and for how long. In plain words: this should be readable without a lawyer.

Who processes the data

The va-app.ru service. Operator — [fill in: company, tax id, address]. Questions and data requests — [fill in: email].

What we store

Email and password — if you registered on the site. The password is stored as a hash, not as text: it cannot be turned back into your password, and we do not know it.
Telegram chat id and username — if you came from the bot. Telegram does not give us your phone number.
The links you send and the analyses we produce. That is the service itself: without the history you cannot see what you paid for.
A fingerprint of your network, not your IP address. The free-tier counter needs to tell visitors apart, not to know their address. We keep an irreversible hash of the subnet, salted with a secret key: the address cannot be recovered from it, nor can a guess be confirmed. One exception — the session log keeps the full sign-in IP so you can spot a stranger.
Technical records about the work: video length, transcript size, processing time. Numbers about load, not about you.

What we do not do

We do not sell or hand data to third parties for advertising.
We run no third-party analytics or ad pixels. We set two cookies: a session id and a guest id for the free-tier counter. Both are functional, both HttpOnly.
We do not read your Telegram messages other than the ones you send to the bot.

Where it lives

In a database hosted in Russia. Videos and subtitles are fetched from YouTube — YouTube sees the request, but not which of our users asked for it.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. Sessions expire after 30 days without a sign-in. Telegram sign-in codes live 15 minutes and are burned on first use.

Deleting your data

Write to [fill in: email] from the address your account uses, or ask the bot in chat. We delete the account together with its request and analysis history. Anonymous load records stay: they can no longer be tied to you.

Changes

If this document changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes are announced on the site before they take effect.
